80th birthday cake, A blush of Pink
This cake was made by request for their mothers 80th birthday. The mother loves flowers, the color pink. So I fashioned white roses and hydrangeas which were dusted with a pink luster dust. The cake was red velvet with cream cheese icing. The top tier was painted in a damask stencil and the bottom tier has the mother's initials.

Justin Beiber and Batman Cakes
The Justin Bieber cake was actually for a 4 year old. I had to change the cake last minute. The cake was a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing. The bottom tier was zebra themed with a purple ball border. The top tier was purple fondant topped with a Gumpaste molded Bieber and star burst.
the batman cake was super fun. I make lots of girl themed cakes, since I have girls. So it was fun to step out of the princess realm and make a batman. The batman figure is Gumpaste and the cake was covered in black fondant. Vanilla cake and buttercream.

Wilton's New Course 4
Wilton has created a new Advanced gumpaste flower course, starting this February. It is going to be a real blast. These are the sample cakes I made to display in the store. The first is to showcase the very fun Gerbera Daisy (One of my favorite flowers). The second cake showcases all the other flowers the course covers. Stargazer lily, sweet pea, Stephenatotis, ivy leaves, blossoms, and briar rose. This course shows you how to make the flowers and leaves on wire to create stunning floral sprays. I super excited to start teaching it.
Onalee's 1st birthday, Cowgirl
My brother and sister-in-laws daughter was celebrating her 1st birthday. They asked me to do a cowgirl style birthday. So my 4 year old that always wants to help me make cakes, helped with the cupcakes. She was quite insistant that she help ice the cupcakes and roll the sides in sprinkles. So with some guidance, that she accomplished. I made the fondant toppers for the cupcakes and my 4 year old helped place them on top. The cake was is red velvet cake with cream cheese/ marscopone icing. The cowgirl hat was made of a gumpaste/fondant 50/50 blend. The white daisy on that my 4 year old actually made after I showed her how. She also made the little pink blossom flowers on the bottom of the cake embleshing the rope border. The cake was super fun and cute to create. Thanks for having a birthday Onalee and having me make the cake.
